Don't be brave - get it?

h1, part 1: don't be brave, be right

Hey there, you lovely person (can't believe I haven't done that one before!)

Tuesday's webinar shifted my marketing world 2% on its axis. 🧐

This means to say I feel like I'm better at what I do now because I listened to the perspective of some other interesting people with a perspective on the industry we love.

So, if the allure of TMM is part community and part knowledge... well... Giles and Ryan of Delusions of Brandeur have got some brain shifters for you.

And then you can go and discuss them in our Facebook group after 😊

The talk was all about the language we use to describe our work, and how that will land with others outside of marketing (spoiler: Giles and Ryan aren't big fans of us calling ourselves 'brave'). It also provided some really interesting insight into how to speak about creativity and also gave me a quote I'll use for the rest of time...

"Noone cares if you like your parachute, you care if the ******* thing works!"

So, if you're up for a potential shift in perspective, and to see possibly the most beautifully put-together slides you've ever laid eyes on... click that pink button below 👇. Now available on-demand for you with a write-up, too :)

Don't be brave, be right. Find the the video, podcast, and full write up here.

P.S. I'll usually include a bunch of takeaways in this email, but I feel hearing the lessons in context is more important for this talk. Even better would be to watch the video rather than just the audio this week, too (even though the podcast version is still available) 😃

h1, part 2: marketing resources for dayzzzz

Previous speaker at The Marketing Meetup, Louis Grenier, has been running the no-BS Everyone Hates Marketers Podcast for five years now.

And yesterday, he released the definitive list of every resource mentioned by his guest speakers over the course of time. While that sounds like a lot, he then ranked them by the number of times those resources were mentioned, to make it easy to find what your looking for.

Basically, it's like every reading, podcast, resource and video list in one place for you. Rabbit hole, maybe. Useful? Heeeeeeeeeeeelll yeah :)

Find the resource list right here.
