Hearing your child read is one of the most pleasurable parts of raising a child. It is great to see their confidence grow day by day. When your child finds a book that they really love - they have caught the "Reading Bug" and are on a journey to being a life long reader.
Sometimes, it is hard to help your child with reading when they are at home. Often, children are tired after a day at school and it can be difficult to motivate them to want to read. We understand this and we want to support all of our community with listening to their child reading at home.
Last week, I shared the video of me talking to Professor Teresa Cremin about how to support your child with reading at home (see video below). This week, to follow the interview I would like to share with you the poster (see above) that has 3 main sections detailing how to help and support your child to read at home. I hope you enjoy the poster and the video. If you do need support with helping your child to read at home, then please do let us know. We have lots of ideas that we can share with you.
