○ City officials are seeking public comment on the Ashley River Crossing project – the bike and pedestrian bridge that will connect West Ashley + downtown Charleston. Provide feedback here through May 3. ○ The Charleston stormwater drainage project – which first began in 2013 – will finish its next phase of improvements sometime next year. Once the project is completed, the city expects to see a 500% increase in stormwater flow, which will significantly decrease flooding in downtown Charleston. 🌧 (Charleston City Paper)

○ Charleston Stage announced its 44th Season of plays — which include live and in-person shows at the Historic Dock Street Theatre. Programming is also planned at the Pearl Theatre + West Ashley Theatre Center. Season tickets for the 2021-22 season go on sale June 22. (Holy City Sinner)

After a statewide competition, the winner of the 2021-22 South Carolina Junior Duck Stamp art competition has been announced.
Julia Boyer, a 14-year-old student at Charleston County School of the Arts won Best of Show with her colored pencil drawing of a King Eider duck. Julia’s work will represent SC in the 2021 National Junior Duck Stamp Contest, competing with entries from all 50 states to become the 2021-22 collective Federal Junior Duck Stamp – which are sold by the U.S. Postal Service and Amplex Corporation for $5 each. 🦆
