Friends of the Durham Library would like to let you know how much we appreciate your continued membership support during these challenging times.

As uncertainty continues surrounding our ability to hold in-person book sales at our Books Among Friends store and in Durham County's regional libraries, we are excited to announce the launch of our new online bookstore, Books Among Friends Online!

On Sunday, April 11, we will open the online store, advertised only to members for the first two weeks. On Sunday April 25, we will begin advertising to the general public.

You can access the store at http://shopfodlnc.org/. (Please note, you can browse the site now, but it will not be open for purchases until Sunday, April 11.)

You'll see our full inventory online, and we will continue to add to it regularly. You'll purchase your books via credit card and come to pick them up at our new Books Among Friends location:

3825 S. Roxboro St.
#131 (to the right of Family Dollar)

Pickup available Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays between 10 am and 3 pm

Are you accepting donations again?
We will be very soon! We will begin accepting donations by appointment only at the new space. (The libraries will not accept donations at this time.) Sign up now for an appointment to donate (donation dates beginning April 17).

Will you hold in-person sales again?
We miss seeing your smiling faces lined up for the members only hours of our big book sales, and we absolutely plan to hold in-person sales again as soon as our new space is ready and we feel it is safe to do so. We will advertise widely when we're ready -- it will be a big celebration! In the meantime, we hope you'll find our online book store option a worthy substitute.
