Student Blog Writing Competition
Submission Deadline: April 9, 2021 Our office is excited to launch our first Blog Writing Competition open to all students at Dalhousie University.  "What does Global Health mean to you?" in 300-500 words. More details on our website.
Service Learning Program Final Presentations & Year End Celebration
May 4, 2021 Please join us as we celebrate our community partners and Med 2 students completing their Service Learning Program experiences and projects. Nearly 50 students have been working with our community partners in Halifax and Saint John.
Global Health Bursaries
Students in Dentistry, Health and Medicine are encouraged to apply for our global health bursaries to help support educational and professional development activities related to global health. 
Johnson Conference Diversity Bursary for Indigenous and African Nova Scotians
The goal of the program is to enable students to attend extracurricular programming such as conferences as part of their professional development (does not include courses).
Johnson Bursary for Entrance Requirements Support for Indigenous and African Nova Scotians
The goal of the program is to reduce or eliminate the financial burden associated with application requirements. Bursaries will be awarded as a reimbursement of cost.
PLANS continues to support African Nova Scotian students aspiring to a career in health
African Nova Scotian students studying Health Professions are still encouraged to connect with PLANS to discuss programs, support with applying, opportunities, or assistance connecting with professionals or services. You can email: sarah.upshaw@dal.ca to set up a call or video chat.
Supports for Indigenous students aspiring to a career in health
Indigenous students studying Health Professions are still encouraged to connect with IHIM to discuss programs, support with applying, opportunities, or assistance connecting with professionals or services. You can email: hannah.asprey@dal.ca to set up a call or video chat.
