Keeping everyone safe
Lockdown may be easing but we all need to carry on being vigilant to keep everyone safe. If you have an appointment with me but start showing any of the Coronavirus symptoms then please let me know and I'll re-arrange your appointment.
Dull and dehydrated skin?
I've had loads of messages from people saying their skin is dull and dehydrated so here are a few tips to help improve that problem...
Apply your regular moisturiser on an evening and then apply a small amount of facial oil over the top.
This will help the moisturizer absorb while your face oil seals and adds an extra layer of nourishment. Because moisturisers are part water and part oil, they help your skin retain moisture, whereas oils helps lock it in.
Signs of a dehydrated skin
prone to dullness, often lacklustre in appearance
fine lines, which seems to come and go
plumper and healthier-looking skin immediately after showering
responds positively to steam rooms, looks and feels better in humid weather conditions
feels desperate for products after showering
sometimes flakes and peels when make up is applied, especially around the eyes and nose
lips feel dry.
