Pillars of the Pandemic is a new recognition series that acknowledges the deep commitment and exemplary contribution to public health and safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nominate yourself, or another healthcare professional across Ontario such as front-line workers, community advocates, caregivers, volunteers, administrative leaders, and academic scholars and leaders. Submit your nomination by May 3, 2021. 

A selection committee invited to participate by Dean Steini Brown, comprised of a diverse group of individuals with lived expertise and relevant experience within the public health and health care systems, will review the nominations and select a number of recipients based on a set of criteria.

Criteria
 
Nominees should embody several of the key criteria used to describe a "Pillar of the Pandemic":
  • 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀, 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.  
  • 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝘂𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲.
