Welcome to Spring 2021! Doesn't it feel good? Before we get too far into field work and planting let's take a moment to consider safety, especially with consideration to how dry it is and all of this wind! Socially-Distanced Corn

We may all be tired of socially distancing, but there are some good reasons to social distance your corn from your cereal rye cover crop. Events 

LAST CALL for Private Pesticide Applicator Continuing Instruction Courses.  If you have not attended your required 2 hours of annual training (if you choose the training route) to maintain your private pesticide license, please contact your County Extension Office ASAP to schedule an appointment to watch the training DVD. The deadline is April 15. If you license expired December 31, 2020, do not forget to mail your renewal form and fee ($15) to the Iowa Department of Ag and Land Stewardship Pesticide Bureau, Wallace State Office Building, 502 E. 9th St., Des Moines, IA 50319-0051, or you can submit payment through the online portal at: https://iowaagriculture.force.com/pesticideapplicator/s/login/

The Wright County Extension Office is hosting a virtual, monthly Women in Ag series. This series is free to attend and will be held on the fourth Tuesday of each month (no July) through October.  Please contact Missy Loux at 515-532-3453 for more details and to register.
