How to deal with feeling burned out

Real estate markets across the country are on fire! In such a strong sellers’ market, the positives are brisk sales, huge bidding wars and record prices for sellers. A negative side effect is agent burnout. Every agent I’ve talked to over the past few months is flirting with burnout or is burned out and doesn’t even know it. One Realtor commented, “We’re all maxed out!” Many Realtors are going through emotional, physical and mental exhaustion.

Opinion: Organized insurance scam or troubled industry?

Every Realtor and their clients have been touched directly or indirectly by insurance premiums, possibly even as simply a consumer. Is it possible that there’s an unwritten conspiracy between the insurers to quote extraordinarily high premiums on their competitors’ business in order to discourage customers from changing vendors and possibly to even make the exorbitant renewal premiums look good by comparison to competitor’s quotes?

Social violence and real estate professionals 

I was never told what many of us will be forced to deal with at some point in our career – a violent interaction. We enter people’s lives, we deal with their emotions, we deal with their money and we often find ourselves part of their relationships, even if it’s only for a short while. Yet we don’t understand how to de-escalate a social violent encounter. We don’t know how to let angry people get off their chest what’s bothering them at that very moment.
