PLEASE HELP!!!! Volunteers Needed:

Sign up to help on Picture Day (4/13) at the school. Three shifts available, please come (wear a mask) for 2 hours and help line up kids and keep pictures running smoothly! We really need parent volunteers!

SCHOOL PICTURE INFORMATION:
Response due MONDAY by noon

It's time for school pictures with Ken Rada! These individual student pictures will be used for the yearbook and also available for parent purchase.

There are several ways to have your child included in the yearbook: in person during school, drive by for virtual learners at school or submit your own photo.

IF YOU DO NOT FILL OUT THIS FORM, YOUR CHILD'S PHOTO WILL NOT BE TAKEN.

Information for each picture option:

1. In school pictures will be April 13th for in person students:

Choose to have your child's photo taken with a mask, without a mask or not at all (you can then bring them April 14th or submit your own photo)

2. Drive by pictures will be April 14th

When you fill out above form, you will get a link for the sign up genius to select your time. On April 14th, you will drive up to the school, wait and then have your child get out for a picture. Please wear masks unless being photographed. Your child must have a piece of paper with their name, teacher's name and student ID so that they can be properly placed in yearbook.

3. Submit your own picture

Spirit Night at Napolean's THIS WEEK! On April 14th order online or dine in and mention Sagamore for a portion of the proceeds to go to the PTA!

Air Purifier Fund Update
We are SO close to our goal, only $3,300 more to go.

A shout out to a wonderful community partner!

Community & Council Realty has generously contributed $1000 toward the Air Purifier fund.

If you are - or know of- a business owner who maybe interested in being a community partner please message us for details.

We will be placing the order this week for the air purifiers so they are here before 4/29 when the next group of students come back. We want to make sure we can provide than for ALL the classrooms.

These will help keep the kids and teachers healthy beyond COVID so even if your kids are not back this year please consider helping.

PRE-K Yoga Day

Over Spring Break, SHES Precocious Pre-K Class participated in International Kid's Yoga Day (KYD)! As one of the of over 400 KYD Ambassadors, Mrs. Messer and several of her students joined in for this mindful 5-minute routine increasing the number of participants to a whopping 115,000 children worldwide. They enjoyed classic yoga poses such Tree as well as more whimsical ones like Unicorn. SHES Pre-K Student, Jemima Rajaratnam, even chimed in during a Q & A moment to dialogue with host Teresa Power about her favorite yoga pose. They saw and heard from students as far away as Norway and India! This program was one of many enrichment activities Mrs. Messer discovered while researching ways to engage her students during virtual learning. The 5-minute routines were so perfect for Pre-K that they became a regular P.E. activity and eventually were led by the Pre-K students themselves as a "Class Job"

Sagamore's John Lewis "Be More" shirts are now available for pre-sale online at the school store. Shirts can be ordered now and picked up at a school drive-by at a soon-to-be-announced date!

The PTA has several positions open for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year and we are looking for enthusiastic parents to help us fill these roles. The PTA is open to EVERY parent at Sagamore and there's a role for every interest, ability and time commitment.

Currently we are looking to fill the PTA Chair roles of:
-Co-President
-Administration
-Communication
-Fundraising
-Treasurer

Additionally, we are looking for volunteers to help with smaller, but still incredibly important roles such as:
-Room Parent Coordinator for 2021-2022
-Yearbook
-School Pictures
