Welcome to our first official "Zoosletter"
Spring River Zoo staff and critters are excited to welcome guests back in 2021
At our Grand Reopening weekend in January, over 500 visitors braved the cold and answered the call of the wild to check out our new animals and improved exhibits. As we work towards our goal of being self-sustaining, please know that each and every dollar from admission fees, memberships and donations go directly to funding animal enrichment and new amenities to make Spring River Zoo a fun, educational place families can return to again and again. We are also always seeking individual or groups of volunteers to help with various projects around the Zoo. Stay tuned as we have many exciting things planned for this summer, such as reopening our railroad and historic carousel, as well as launching summer camps for kids.

Our Easter Speggtacular is back!
Date: Sunday, April 4th
Time: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Cost: Zoo Admission

Join us for an Easter Egg hunt during open hours on Sunday, April 4th. Each hour, a fresh batch of eggs with candy and zoo coupons will be hidden. All you need to do is reserve your tickets and BYOB (that's Bring Your Own Basket). Opened plastic eggs may be donated back to the Zoo.
We will also be having animal enrichment activities every half hour throughout the weekend featuring short keeper talks, animal feedings and more. Complete schedule of activities is listed on our website. Plus, first Saturdays are FREE for Roswell residents!

Educational Programs & Summer Camps
We had so much fun during our Spring Break Zoo Camp! Campers had the chance to create enrichment for our animals, tour the zoo, encounter a few of our animals and more. Our Summer Camp sessions for ages 4-14 will be starting in June – dates to be announced soon. Pre-K programs will also be launching in late April. All programs are first come, first serve and capped at 10 participants.

In February, we celebrated Arthur the Badger's birthday. He is five years old and in honor of his big day our zookeepers presented him with a birthday box that had a few of his favorite treats!

On March 23, our ring-tailed lemurs Burney, Hedley and Louis received goodies on their birthday.

Passport to Adventure Scavenger Hunt Giveaway
We are going to continue our popular scavenger hunt activity. All completed scavenger hunt forms will be entered into a drawing to receive one of three Zoo prize packs! Congrats to our past winners, Jaxon Houghtalin, Kasi Davis and Cheryl Fitzpatrick. Winners will be notified by email.
