The newest song on forthcoming album Tributaries (out May 1), "Aquarius" is an example of pandemic-time music making in a band context. “'Aquarius' started out with just three piano parts and a beat; I knew I could build something with that, but I didn't really plan for it to be so dystopic," said The Backstays' Pete Johnston (he/him). FIRST JANE LEBLANC MUSIC AWARD RECIPIENT ANNOUNCED 

Emerging New Brunswick-based music artist Stephanie David has been selected to receive the first Jane LeBlanc Music Award. The award is given out through the Jane LeBlanc Legacy Fund created in memory of Miramichi, born artist Jane LeBlanc. Le vidéoclip de la chanson « Bouillir d’la misère » d’Émilie Landry a remporté ce samedi soir 13 mars 2021 la première position dans la catégorie « Best Lockdown Video » aux Canadian Independant Music Video Awards. Le vidéoclip, tourné à Moncton à l’automne 2020, est une réalisation du vidéaste Louis-Philippe Chiasson. La chanson est un clin d’œil humoristique à ceux et celles qui ont tendance à se mettre des bâtons dans les roues.
