We would like to wish our clubs a successful and safe future ahead as they re-open this week, and to all our members who I'm sure are ready to get back out to play on the wonderful courses we have here in Gloucestershire. Take a look at the England Golf ‘Play Safe, Stay Safe’ guidance that has been updated to reflect the new protocols.
Entries for County Championships are now open should anyone at your club be looking to enter. The details for our first four events can be seen below or for details of all our events please visit our website for entry requirements, rules and how to sign up to take part - please forward to anyone who may be interested.
Equally, if anyone is interested in joining one of our County Golf Days please visit our County Competitions page for all the dates and locations. These competitions are for all male playing members of golf clubs affiliated to the Gloucestershire Golf Union and cost £35 per day, inclusive of 36 holes of golf (Greensomes in the morning and 4BBB in the afternoon) plus a light lunch and a two course dinner with prizes.
This month we are starting a new 'from the archives' feature where we'll be looking back at events from our past. This month we're featuring Cleeve Hill Golf Club and T.K. Ashton the winner of the 1st County Championship in 1906.
The Gloucestershire Golf Union 2021 County Year book is now available to view online. Read the foreword from our President Tim Clink and get all the details of the GGU officers, officials, our affiliated clubs and their officials.
As always, we love to see and hear how you're all getting on, simply tag @GlosGolf in your posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
