Antoine Désilets est nommé directeur général
de la Société Santé en français

OTTAWA – Le 31 mars 2021 – La Société Santé en français (SSF) est heureuse d’annoncer la nomination d’Antoine Désilets au poste de directeur général de l’organisme. Monsieur Désilets occupe depuis 12 mois le poste de co-directeur général par intérim pour la SSF. Il y était auparavant gestionnaire des relations gouvernementales, partenariats et gouvernance.
Selon la présidente, Mme Anne Leis, « c’est avec enthousiasme et confiance que le conseil d’administration remet la direction de l’organisme à Monsieur Desilets. Ensemble, nous allons continuer à faire des avancées au niveau national et à collaborer avec les 16 réseaux santé en français qui œuvrent sur le terrain dans les provinces et territoires. »
Politologue de formation, Antoine a travaillé pour le gouvernement fédéral et pour l’Université d’Ottawa, en plus de près de 10 années à la Société Santé en français. En 2018, sa passion pour la politique publique l’a amené à s’impliquer au niveau municipal, où il a été directeur de campagne. Il maintient un engagement actif auprès de sa communauté en tant que membre des conseils d’administration du Centre des services communautaires Vanier et du Centre Le CAP, deux organismes qui offrent des services à la communauté francophone d’Ottawa.
« Mes dix ans d’engagement dans le domaine de la santé en français m’ont beaucoup apporté, tant au niveau personnel que professionnel, a déclaré monsieur Désilets. Ce nouveau mandat m’offre l’occasion de mettre à profit mon expérience pour contribuer à l’amélioration de l’accès à des services de santé de qualité en français pour les communautés francophones et acadienne du Canada en situation minoritaire.»
Antoine débutera officiellement ses fonctions à partir du 1er avril 2021.
La Société Santé en français est un chef de file national qui assure, en étroite collaboration avec les réseaux Santé en français de chaque province et territoire, un meilleur accès à des services de santé en français de qualité.

Antoine Désilets to become Executive Director
for Société Santé en français
For immediate release
OTTAWA – March 31th, 2021 – Société Santé en français (SSF) is happy to announce the nomination of Antoine Désilets to the position of Executive Director for the organization. Mr. Désilets has been Acting Co-Executive Director for the last 12 months. He was previously Manager for Governmental Relations, Partnerships, and Governance.
According to the Chair of the Board of Directors, Ms Anne Leis, “the Board has enthusiastically and confidently named Antoine as the organization’s upcoming Executive Director. Together, we will continue to make progress nationally while collaborating with the 16 French-language Health Networks who work on the ground in the provinces and territories.”
Trained as a political scientist, Antoine has experience working for the federal government and the University of Ottawa, in addition to nearly 10 years working for Société Santé en français. In 2018, his passion for public policy brought him into municipal politics, where he acted as a Campaign Manager in the 2018 Ottawa elections. He maintains an active commitment to his community through his involvement as a member of the Board of Directors on both the Vanier Community Services Centre and Le CAP, two organizations offering services in French to the Francophone community in Ottawa.
"My ten years of involvement in French language health care have brought me a lot, both personally and professionally," said Mr. Désilets. “These new responsibilities are an opportunity to give back and use my experience to continue working toward health services in French for the Francophone and Acadian communities living in a minority setting.”
Antoine will officially become Executive Director on April 1, 2021.
Société Santé en français is a national association that works to promote French-language health care in Francophone and Acadian minority communities in Canada in collaboration with the 16 regional, provincial and territorial French Language Health Networks of Canada.
