Resources for Re-Gathering

Re-gathering Benchmarks: How will we know?
Wednesday, April 21, 1-2PM
https://us02web.zoom.us/j/842659199

Join Dr. Aaron Young, who is a member of First Presbyterian Church in Quincy, MA, and Assistant Professor of Physiology & Biophysics at Boston University School of Medicine for a presentation to help church leaders in MA, NH, VT and ME think through the different metrics to gauge the level of risk of returning to in-person worship, including where to find the most up-to-date information.

Catch up on the previous webinars in this series, co-hosted by the Presbyteries of Boston and Northern New England, to help you think about your congregation's return to in-person worship:

Vaccine and Regathering Part 1
provided information on the vaccine, herd immunity, and big picture questions to frame your community's discussion of returning to in-person worship inside a building.

Vaccine and Regathering Part 2
featured stories about different plans for return to worship from a wide variety of churches, framed by recommendations from the Wisconsin Council of Churches.
Clerks of Session Training

There will be a training for Clerks of Session on April 21 at 7 pm on Zoom. It will cover basic tasks for clerks, changes to the Book of Order and Roberts Rules, as well as question and answer. This training will be led by the Stated Clerks of the Presbyteries of Northern New England, Boston, Southern New England, Northern New York, and New Castle. To register, click here:

Moved by the Spirit

Newton Presbyterian Church is renewing its commitment to the words of Paul, exemplifying the Spiritual Gifts around us. The Church is asking for donations of artwork from all who feel moved by the Holy Spirit. All interested parties should contact the Outreach Committee of Newton Presbyterian Church at npcartsprogram@gmail.com

Artwork that is inspired by religious and spiritual understandings can be based in Scripture, history, or personal interactions with religious life. All artwork will be reviewed and if accepted will be published on the Newton Presbyterian Church Website, social media channels, and hopefully publicized in a special format.
