As a reminder, is a good idea to archive your Blackboard courses regularly, especially after grades have been submitted.

If you accidentally delete content, your course can be easily restored from your archive. If you have not created an archive and need your content recovered, FIT will have to pay an expensive fee. Follow these steps to archive your course:

  1. Click on Packages and Utilities on the left-hand side of your course
  2. Click on Export/Archive Course in the sub-menu
  3. Click Archive Course near the top-center of the screen
  4. Check the box next to "Include Grade Center History"
  5. Make sure these two items are selected (they are selected by default):
-Copy links and include copies of the files in the course default directory
-Copy links and include copies of the files outside of the course default directory
  6. Click Submit.
Your course is now archived. Click Refresh to view the archive link once it's available (it usually takes about a minute). You will have the option to click on the link if you wish to download a copy of the archive to your computer or your Google Drive.
