MEIJER in Brighton will be starting up the SIMPLY GIVE PROGRAM from  February 14, 2021  through April 10, 2021.  During this time, when you purchase a Simply Give $10 Give Card, Meijer will add another $10 with it and give us $20.  On Saturday, April 3, 2021 are DOUBLE DAYS at MEIJER.  For every donation purchased, MEIJER double match Simply Give Card that is purchased.  A $100 donation on those two days would equal $300 coming to Bountiful Harvest.  Please mark your calendar!

More news will be forthcoming next month.  Just a hint of the event – Best in Show of your beautiful four-legged family member, a run, a Barkery, and lots more.  Be sure to stay tuned.  Brighton Ford is sponsoring this event.  They love fur baby family members too.
 
We have a new Food Drive Coordinator, Vanessa. 

She has hit the ground running with the first neighborhood food drive taking place in Howell.   Watch for her coming to your neighborhood or better yet, let her know you would like to hold a food drive.
 

Meijer will be running the Simply Give Program again from February 14, 2021 until April 10, 2021.  They have added this campaign due to increased need with COVID.  The double day for April will be Saturday, April 3, 2021.  This means that on that day Meijer will not only match the $10 donation and make it $20, but they will also instead add $20 to your $10 donation and make it $30. 
 
Calling all Car and Truck enthusiasts – SAVE THE DATERolling Thunder Michigan Chapter 5 is sponsoring a Car and Truck Show on June 12
  
All proceeds will benefit Bountiful Harvest Inc.  We will have more details in next month’s newsletter.
 
For volunteering, go to Sign Up Genius, put Bountiful Harvest Inc in the search area and it will take you to our page.   You can sign up for the day, time and position of your choice.  We especially need help in the afternoon Tuesday through Friday.  Drivers are needed for Thursday and Friday afternoons.  The driver position is a ‘no contact’ with the client’s position.
 
We are looking for office help the first and third Saturday of the month from 8:00am until 12:00pm.
 
As summer approaches, it is a time to remember the children at risk who will be without breakfast and lunch that they normally receive on the free or reduced lunch program at school.  Bountiful Harvest Inc has been providing those breakfast and lunches for them in the past and will do so again this summer.  No-one should ever go hungry, especially a child.  Wish List for children’s breakfast and lunches:  cereal, single serving cereal bowls, mac and cheese, spaghetti o’s, spaghetti w/meatballs, small bags of assorted snack chips, cereal bars, hot dogs, cheese.  Any lunch or breakfast item that can be opened and/or fixed easily.
 
We could never accomplish our mission without all of you.  No matter how little or how much you help with, it all counts and adds up to accomplishing our mission.  You are the Pillars of the Community.  BY THE COMMUNITY, FOR THE COMMUNITY.

Spring has Sprung!!!!!!!!!!

 
We are now accepting Spring and Summer Clothes, shoes, etc. 
      
The outpouring of clothes, shoes, jewelry has just been wonderful.  Thank you so much for all your donations.  They are going out almost as fast as they come in.
 
Men, Women, and children’s shoes are in great demand.  As you are going through your closets cleaning out your summer clothes and shoes that are too small, please remember someone else would love to give them a home.
 
It is working well having one client at a time come in for clothes, shoes, etc.   You must wear a mask and do a COVID screening (not test) before entering.  Please be diligent with how long you spend in picking out clothing as we can only allow one person in at a time.  You will be asked to leave and come back another time if you take too long.  We are extremely busy this time of year and with COVID it is even harder. 
 
Please bring your donations to the pantry Tuesday through Friday - 10:00am until 4:00pm, Saturday 9:00am until 11:30am.  PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE DONATIONS OUTSIDE.  The animals or the weather will get to them and they will end up in the dumpster.   If you cannot come during our regular hours, please call and we will work with you on receiving the donations,
 
Our clothing store is open Tuesday through Friday from 3:00pm to 5:00pm & 9:00am until 11:30am on Saturday. 
 
We appreciate all you do.
