Congratulations to our March
CTE Students of the Month
The March Early Childhood Education Student of the Month is Hailey Miller. She is a junior at Rochelle Township High School. Hailey does a great job in the preschool. She enjoys interacting with the children and planning activities for them. Hailey has excellent attendance, is very dependable, communicates well, and is a strong team player.

The March Sports Medicine Student of the Month is Gavin Engh. He is a junior at DeKalb High School and has been successful both semesters at KEC. Since the transition of DeKalb returning to school, Gavin’s engagement and interest in the class of Sports Medicine has grown. At the current time, he has expressed interest in the career of Athletic Training. This class has given him a path to the start of that profession.

The March Culinary Student of the Month is Daniel Senne. He is a junior at Rochelle Township High School and is always willing to try new things. Daniel approaches each week with excitement.

The March Health Occupations Student of the Month is Abigail Taylor. She is a senior at DeKalb High School and since DeKalb has moved to in-person learning, Abby has chosen to go the extra mile and come out to work on her skills that will allow her to gain experience within the Allied Health Care Field.  Abby is deciding between a career in Nursing or Phlebotomy next year.
The March Computer Information Systems Student of the Month is Anthony Lacerba. He is a senior at Sycamore High School and has shown persistence in working through the class material with successful results. He participates in class regularly and takes the time to finish labs and assignments on time.
The March CNA Student of the Month is Hailey Bakley. She is a junior at Genoa-Kingston High School and brings a positive energy into the classroom everyday she is here. Hailey has an inquisitive nature and is always taking every opportunity possible to learn. Throughout the school year she has built relationships easily with students from other schools as well as the staff and patients at clinical.

The March Criminal Justice Student of the Month is Jesse Harris. He is a junior at Rochelle Township High School and has been the only student in attendance in first period for most of the year. He comes in with a good attitude and is ready to learn. He willingly participates, which helps the class time go by faster.
Correction: Last month's February Criminal Justice student of the month, Natalie Wells, is a Genoa-Kingston student, not an RTHS student. Sorry about that Natalie, and congrats again!
