Dear Praying Friends and Family,
Spring is always an exciting time in Xi’An. We will be celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and the anniversary of Pillar Baptist Church. We are excited to be celebrating three years of the church and we’re even more excited about the growth that has taken place over the last year. We’ve seen more young adults come out and we have a few families that have been coming consistently. The Lord is good and while there is a lot of work ahead of us, we are glad for the fruit we’ve seen already.
Pastor Xu and I recently took a trip to Henan. We have a sister and brother there who are desirous to see a church planted in their city. They moved there for work and have been without a church for quite some time. Henan is Pastor Xu’s hometown and he has always had a burden for that province. We’re praying the Lord will be able to use us to help the Christians there. While there we held a service for a few folks who had gathered to hear the Word. Our plan is to travel there once a month for the time being and hold a service for those willing to come. Our long-term goal is to see a church planted there. Please pray for our endeavors. Laborers are few and the work requires patience and motivation.
Please pray for my wife, she is 16 weeks along with our fifth child. We are excited about the growth of our family. The pregnancy is going well and the baby is growing strong and healthy.
During April and May I will be reapplying for a scholarship at my school and I will also be looking to start another program to keep our family visa. Please be in prayer for us about that. Every year it is a lot of work to renew the visas and meet the requirements, but having a visa for our family is well worth it.
