San Mateo Co. Public Library's YANovCon Short Story Contest
The San Mateo County Libraries are hosting a short story contest!
All 6th - 12th grade students who live or go to school in San Mateo County are invited to submit a short story of 500 words maximum. The short story must be based on one of these three themes: Mental Health, Social Justice or Body Positivity. The submission deadline is on Monday, April 12, 2021. Submit your story here
New Food Service Hours for SMUHSD Schools
Starting Monday, March 29 - in order to accommodate for phase 3 in-person student lunch meal service - we are modifying our distance learning/pick up meal service to the following:
Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:30 - 11:15 a.m. AND 12:45 - 4 p.m.
Additional Free and Local Food Resources
San Mateo Union High School, Millbrae, San Mateo-Foster City and San Bruno Park School Districts are now offering grab and go meals to ALL students 18 years and younger, regardless of what school they attend. Please help us spread the word about this FREE food resource for the community.

Save the date juniors, on April 29th at 6:30 p.m. we’ll have Ruth Rodriguez from the University of Oregon present to our juniors on information you’ll want to know about the college essay. Find out what schools are looking for in your essays, how to approach brainstorming for your writing, and clichés you’ll want to avoid. Presentations will be recorded for those who are unable to attend live, but of course you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions if you attend the live session. Meeting room link will be posted in Canvas closer to the date.

¡Las Bibliotecas del Condado de San Mateo están organizando un concurso de cuentos! Se invita a todos los estudiantes de 6º a 12º grado que vivan o vayan a la escuela en el condado de San Mateo a enviar una historia corta de 500 palabras como máximo. Nuevas horas de servicio de alimentos para las escuelas de SMUHSD
A partir del lunes 29 de marzo, con el fin de acomodarnos al servicio de almuerzos de almuerzo para estudiantes en persona de la fase 3, estamos modificando nuestro servicio de comida de aprendizaje a distancia / recogida a lo siguiente: Lunes, martes y jueves de 7:30 a 11:15 a.m. Y de 12:45 a 4 p.m. Recursos adicionales de alimentos locales y gratuitos Los distritos escolares de San Mateo Union High School, Millbrae, San Mateo-Foster City y San Bruno Park ahora ofrecen comidas para llevar a TODOS los estudiantes de 18 años o menos, independientemente de la escuela a la que asistan. Ayúdenos a difundir este recurso alimenticio GRATUITO para la comunidad.
