Thank you!

Thank you all so much for being a part of this group. I’m already so grateful to you all for the meaningful conversations we started today. I appreciate you making the time and emotional space to show up for yourself and all of us in the group.

I thought I would send along our discussion questions from today in case they can spark some further reflection, journaling prompts, or discussions with people in your life:

  1. Where are the thoughts and doubts about self-worth most present for you right now?

  2. What are the stories that you’ve held onto?

  3. What would it be like if you were to start to take a beginner’s mind to these situations and thoughts? What might get in your way?

Thoughtful experiments you might try out between meetings include:

  1. Think about how to stop deciding and be aware and curious- noticing thoughts, behaviors

  2. Notice how people you are with feel, energetically, emotionally. Without judgment, can you just notice if there are people whose energy feels safe, accepting?

  3. Can you notice actions or ways of spending time that also feel this way- grounding, safe, affirming?

And finally, a quote I was going to share but we didn't have time, from Brene Brown:

“Stop walking through the world looking for confirmation that you don’t belong. You will always find it because you’ve made that your mission. Stop scouring people’s faces for evidence that you’re not enough. You will always find it because you’ve made that your goal. True belonging and self-worth are not goods; we don’t negotiate their value with the world. The truth about who we are lives in our hearts. Our call to courage is to protect our wild heart against constant evaluation, especially your own. No one belongs here more than you.”

Have a great night and I’ll see you all again on April 14th at noon.
