Pridruživanje istraživačkoj infrastrukturi ARIADNEplus 

Institut za arheologiju je postao pridruženi partner istraživačke  infrastrukture ARIADNEplus  koja se financira iz programa Europske komisije H2020.


ARIADNEplus nastavak je arheološkog istraživačkog projekta ARIADNE koji je trajao od 2013. do 2017. godine, a financirala ga je Europska komisija. Cilj projekta ARIADNE integracija je europskih arheoloških repozitorija. U sklopu projekta stvoren je pretraživi katalog skupova podataka koji uključuju neobjavljena izvješća, slike, karte, baze podataka i druge vrste arheoloških informacija dostupnih preko interneta.
 

Projekt se pokazao tako uspješnim da mu je do 2022. godine (a nadamo se dulje) odobren nastavak financiranja. Sada pod imenom ARIADNEplus, kako bi se naglasio kontinuitet s prethodnim projektom, odvija se uz poboljšanja zadržavajući isti metodološki pristup.

 

 

Joining the research infrastructure ARIADNEplus

 

The Institute of Archaeology has become an associated partner institution of the ARIADNE plus research infrastructure funded by the European Commission's H2020 program.

ARIADNEplus is the continuation of ARIADNE, a research project in archaeology funded by the European Commission that started in 2013 and lasted until 2017. ARIADNE aimed at the integration of European archaeological repositories. It created a searchable catalogue of datasets including unpublished reports, images, maps, databases and other kinds of archaeological information accessible on-line.
 
The project proved to be so successful that it has been funded again and will continue until 2022 (and hopefully longer). Now named ARIADNEplus to underline the continuity of the new project with the previous one, it aims to improve it while maintaining the same methodological approach.

Arheološka istraživanja nalazišta Mukoše kraj Goriša 

15. – 30. travnja 2021.

Od 15. do 30. travnja 2021. godine Institut za arheologiju (Juraj Belaj), u suradnji s Muzejom grada Šibenika (Željko Krnčević), nastavlja arheološko istraživanje lokaliteta Mukoše kraj Goriša u Šibensko-kninskoj županiji.

Lokalitet, nekoć smatran gomilom, skriva kamenom zidani objekt četvrtastog tlocrta, veličine oko 18,75 x 19,20 m, s apsidama na svakoj strani. Nije poznata datacija (kasna antika, srednji vijek?) niti namjena objekta, a još nije otkriven niti njegov ulaz. U ranom novom vijeku se, očito, vjerovalo u sakralnost ovog položaja, te su u urušenje ukopavani grobovi. U lanjskim istraživanjima je lokalitet raskrčen od raslinja, otkriven je veći dio tlocrta objekta te je istražena i dokumentirana većina pronađenih grobova. U grobovima nisu pronađeni nikakvi nalazi. Bioarheološke i radiokarbonske analize su u tijeku.

Excavations at the site Mukoše near Goriš 

15^th - 30^th of  April 2021

From 15^th to 30^th April 2021 the Institute of Archaeology (Juraj Belaj) in cooperation with the Šibenik City Museum (Željko Krnčević) will continue archaeological excavations at Mukoše site near Goriš in Šibenik-Knin County.

The site, once thought to be a stone mound, in fact hides a square structure with stone walls, measuring 18,75 x 19,20 m, with apses on each side. The entrance to the object is still to be found. The dating (late Antiquity? Middle Ages?) just as the function of the structure are not  known yet. In the Early Modern period it was believed, as it would seem, that these are the remains of a sacral building, since graves where placed within it's destruction debris. During the research campaign which was carried on last year, the site was cleared from vegetation, most of the structure's layout was defined and the detected graves where documented and excavated. Beside human remains there were no other finds in the excavated graves. Bioarchaeological analysis and radiocarbon dating are in progress.

Obilazak arheoloških lokaliteta u okolici Šibenika s kolegama iz Muzeja grada Šibenika


08 - 10. ožujka 2021.

U razdoblju od 8. do 10. ožujka 2021. godine, dr. sc. Marko Dizdar, dr. sc. Juraj Belaj, dr. sc. Siniša Krznar, dr. sc. Ana Konestra te asistent Sebastijan Stingl, zajedno s kolegama iz Gradskoga muzeja Šibenik, obišli su arheološke lokalitete u bližoj okolici grada.

Osim nalazišta Mukoše kraj Goriša, čija će se istraživanja nastaviti u travnju ove godine, proveden je i pregled lokaliteta u Danilskome polju – Šematorij, Luguše, Eraci i Gradina te crkva i groblje sv. Lovre u Donjem polju. Cilj ovoga posjeta, između ostalog, bilo je upoznavanje s topografijom toga prostora kako bi se olakšala obrada arheološki nalaza koja je u tijeku te pospješio rad na zajedničkoj izložbi koja je u planu za jesen ove godine. Posebna je pažnja bila usmjerena na starohrvatska groblja na položajima Luguše i Eraci kako bi se procijenio njihov potencijal za buduća, sustavna istraživanja.

Survey of the archaeological sites near Šibenik with collegues from Šibenik City Museum 

8^th - 10^th  of March 2021 

From March 8^th - 10^th  2021,  Marko Dizdar, PhD, Juraj Belaj, PhD, Siniša Krznar, PhD, Ana Konestra, PhD, and Sebastijan Stingl, along with the colleagues from the Šibenik City Museum, surveyed archaeological sites in the vicinity of Šibenik.

Aside from the site of Mukoše near Goriš, where archaeological excavations will be conducted in April, archaeological sites in Danilsko polje - Šematorij, Luguše, Eraci, and Gradina were surveyed, along with the church and graveyard of St Lawrence in Donje polje. The main aim of the visit was field introduction to the region's topography which will help with the analysis of archaeological finds which is in progress and  the preparation of an exhibition planned in autumn. Special attention was given to the positions of the early Croatian graveyards at the sites  Luguše and Eraci, so that their potential for future archaeological excavations could be determined.
