WGC Emergency Response Network Request - $1,000 - Can You Help?
The Women's Giving Circle of Howard County (WGC) is working to raise $1,000 or more through our Emergency Response Network (ERN) to support our nonprofit partner Columbia Community Care (CCC) with their ongoing efforts to provide food and other necessities to members of our community.
Columbia Community Care began last March in response to the growing and dire needs of community members who continue to struggle in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis.
"We currently find ourselves in a situation of low funds to supply our pantries and sites and we humbly ask for your emergency support" said Erika Strauss Chavarria, CCC Founder. "It costs between $5,000 - $7,000 per month to keep our three sites going. Please help us replenish our account so that we can continue our services to the community ... CCC = 12 months, 3 food sites, 10,000 home deliveries, 100's of donors and volunteers, 100,000 families assisted .... 1 community. Thank you, Howard County."
On behalf of our partners at Community Community Care we are asking for $1,000 to support their ongoing efforts.
Can you help? All donations will continue to go directly to this effort.
Any amount is valued and appreciated, thank you!
