Next week, Tuesday April 6th, Community Gardens of Tucson will participate in the annual statewide charitable fundraising campaign, Arizona Gives Day   For this one day of community-wide giving, our goal is $3,000 – every dollar of which will be dedicated to our Gardening Scholarship Program. 

Last year, CGT provided nearly 40 percent of its gardeners with some level of financial assistance, all which was provided by caring and compassionate donors and supporters like you!  

With the onset of last year’s devastating COVID-19 pandemic, which continues to this day, we have witnessed an exponential growth in the number of families and individuals who are now at risk from food insecurity.  In addition to supporting folks who lack the financial resources to garden for free through work assistance programs, CGT also offers two scholarships that significantly reduce the cost to garden. 

This April 6th we ask that you open your hearts (and your wallets!) and make a generous gift to CGT’s Gardening Scholarship Program.  With your support we can reach our campaign goal of $3,000 that will provide critically needed scholarships and allow others to grow fresh, nutritious, healthy food for the table.
