Covid Vaccine Update

Everyone who is on the GP Learning Disability Register can get the coronavirus vaccine now.

You no longer have to wait for your GP to invite you for a vaccine.

The NHS wants to you get in touch with your GP surgery if you have not been offered the first dose of the vaccine and:

  • you have a learning disability, or
  • you are registered as a carer with your GP, or
  • you are over 50 years old.

You can also phone the NHS on 119.

Don’t forget, you can ask for extra help when you have your vaccine -

Royal Mencap Gig Buddies comedy night

Mencap Gig Buddies presents a night of comedy you can watch from your sofa!

Laugh out Loud

with Lost Voice Guy, Georigie Morrell, Matt Hoss and Luke Poulton!
Thursday 8 April at 7.30 pm
 

Lost Voice Guy may not be able to talk, but he definitely has something to say and his comedy will leave you speechless. He won the BBC New Comedy Award in 2014 and won Britain's Got Talent in 2018. Lee has become a TV regular appearing on The One Show, Last Leg, This Morning and lots more.

Georgie Morrell is a regular on the UK stand up circuit. Know for her own brand of gossipy humour mixed with disabled banter has made her one of the UK’s most exciting up-and-coming acts in comedy at the moment.

Luke Poulton is an autistic comedian with a huge YouTube presence and over 1million viewers on TikTok. He won Essex Comedian of the Year 2019.

Matt Hoss has been a stand up comedian since the age of 19, Matt now hosts several successful podcasts. He was the winner of the 2015 Eric Baker Award and a finalist of Edinburgh’s fringe new act competition in 2016.
