Session 3: Transforming Economic Justice to Advance Gender Equality

Wednesday, May 19  from 2:00 - 3:00 PM ET
Women drive economies in businesses, as entrepreneurs, on farms, and in care economies (paid and unpaid). Poverty, exploitation, and gender discrimination block access to economic assets and opportunities, limiting women’s meaningful participation to shape economic and social policies. Investing in women’s economic empowerment can be a path towards gender equality and more inclusive economic growth. With a small but visible minority of women in senior positions, more inclusive and effective leadership on economic rights and justice is achievable.
