USING BRAINSPOTTING WITH FIRST RESPONDERS
 

BROWN BAG SEMINAR - FRIDAY, APRIL 9
12:00 noon to 1:30pm
In this presentation, Stephanie will show the typical therapist how to successfully change the life of their next first responder or military client. She will discuss her own experience as a police officer and how she was able to trust the therapist that changed her life. This presentation will give not only tips and tricks of the profession but also the confidence needed to sit with a daunting client and see magic happen.

STEPHANIE NEUMAN, LCSW, specializes in seeing first responders, victims of domestic violence or clients suffering from PTSD. She has been in private practice for over ten years, and before becoming a therapist served as a police officer. Stephanie will be presenting at the 2021 International Brainspotting Conference in July.

Thank you to everyone who has offered to work with those impacted by this tragedy - over 40 of you have already volunteered! The Boulder County Emergency Operations Center has included RMBI on the list of mental health resources that they are sharing with families, first responders, and community members. We have also reached out through KGNU and other outlets to let people know that we are offering 10 sessions of free Brainspotting for those in need. We have begun to receive requests and are matching them with our volunteers as they come in. If you know of someone in need of therapy, please have them email us.

PHASE 1 PEER SUPPORT ROUND TABLE
FRIDAY, APRIL 23, 9:00 - 10:00 am
This is a peer support group and not a supervision group; there is no charge to participate. Jessica Klika, MA, LPC and Thad Frye, LCSW facilitate a round table discussion where those new to Brainspotting gather as a community to discuss struggles, offer suggestions, and share successes.
