Sincere Steps
by Impact Middle East leader in Iraq

Jeelan, a Yazadi girl, attends an English class at our center. Her father died when she was only five years old. Her mother left her and her siblings to the care of her paternal grandparents.

Jeelan asked her English teacher to visit her home. The teacher told us about this girl’s request, mentioning she had observed something different about Jeelan from the other girls. So, our visitation team called on Jeelan at her home. During our time there we found out she knows the story of Jesus. She also has a Bible she received during a course she took at our center. She shared with us that she feels a great peace when she reads the Bible. She says the God of the Bible is different from the gods of other religions. Her grandparents have no problem listening to her read from the Bible. Also, they are open to learn about Jesus Christ. Our team asked Jeelan whether she would welcome them to come and read the Bible along with her family. She was so happy about our offer and wants very much for her grandparents and siblings to know Christ and grow in their knowledge of the Bible.

Please pray for Jeelan as she takes sincere steps towards accepting Jesus in her heart and leading her family to Christ.

Perfect for VBS or Children's Ministries

Meet Nisaf, a winsome twelve-year-old girl in Kurdistan (northern Iraq). She lives with her family in a refugee camp, along with 8,000 other children and their families, after they fled from ISIS terrorists. Through five short videos Nisaf shows us where she lives and other special places in the camp, including the Noor Center. Established by Impact Middle East, the Noor Center creates ways for children to laugh, play, and feel safe again after all the trauma they have experienced in their lives. Reproducible handouts provide activities and additional information for each of the videos. Project options provide ways for children’s groups to help children like Nisaf.
