Indoor Dining Now Available

While capacity is restricted to 25%, at long last, the American Bistro can now allow visitors to enjoy their meal indoors, in addition to having their repast lakeside at the patio and outdoor lawn areas. Takeout options for all menu items, are, of course, still available.

The longer days offer even more of a chance to just sit out and enjoy nature and a lovely view of the lake and trees for a pleasant start to the day, or relaxing in the afternoon. With that mind, hours have been adjusted – Wednesday-Friday (10-3), Sat-Sun (10-6:30), closed (M & T) – so visitors can take advantage of that glorious sunshine.

Heritage & Rare Breed Eggs

Colorful eggs always get a thumbs up from Mr. E. Bunny!

On Sunday, Christina Ferrari, who runs the Boathouse & Bistro, will be including the latest batch from her Heritage & Rare Breed Chickens in the Avocado Toast and other breakfast menu items, as well as atop the Croque Madame.

Christina is a French-trained chef, with an affinity for using great eggs, so she started raising her own chickens – well before it became such a hot trend – to ensure a steady supply of quality eggs. And, wow, have her feathered girls been producing.

These fresh, organic taste bombs (from free-range, happy chickens) are the perfect accompaniment for Easter, and Bistro guests are in for a treat, unique to Shoreline Lake... Enjoy!!!

Spring Break Camps

Heads Up...The first session of April's Kayak & Sail Spring Camp starts on Monday! Only a few spots are left for this session, as well as for the second session which runs from April 12th-16th.

As a great way to help kids and teens (ages 10-15) burn off energy during Spring Break, we suggest enrolling your child today, especially given the hard limits on enrollment (These camps must adhere to the same safety-based restrictions as the other Shoreline Lake Kids' Programs.).

After-School Programs

If the Spring Camp sessions aren't a fit for your child, Shoreline Lake also provides two 4-week After-School programs currently going into May – Mixed Watersports (Mon/Wed, ages 8-13) and Laser Sailing (Tu/Th, ages 11-16) – that can replace still-shuttered team sports and activities. 

Kids engage in teamwork and critical thinking, as part of a variety of safe, and fun, after-school activities (where they receive personalized attention in small COVID-19 compliant groups.). Besides providing a change of perspective, and a chance to burn off pent up energy, these programs also create an environment where kids can challenge themselves by learning fundamental skills for a slew of paddlesports and sailing.

Weekend (& Summer) Camps

Spring sessions for Shoreline's 4-day Weekend Camps are now starting to fill up. Since their rollout, these kid and teen camps have provided a popular COVID-19 compliant sports alternative for families with regard to scheduling (The weekend versions cover six of the Summer Camps.).

While both the weekend and summer camps provide kids (ages 5-16) with the chance to have social interaction, here too, Shoreline must also limit enrollment to comply with safety measures.

Online registration for the full Summer Camps lineup is also available, but only the following camps are offered for the Weekend Programs:

Watersports Classes & Equipment Rentals

Shoreline also offers group weekend and private courses, from beginner to advanced, for Sailing, Kayaking, Windsurfing, SUP and SUP Yoga classes. Currently in full swing, and appropriate for teens ages 14+, as well as adults, the group classes go into November. The semi private versions offer more flexible scheduling, but also adhere to the same cohort caps and safety requirements as for the group classes. 

Want something even more flexible? Then perhaps renting your own watercraft, or a Windsurfing membership, might be the way to go. Even if you just want to toodle around the lake, or have your meal on a paddleboat, all equipment is available for rental, including bicycles (cruisers, tugabugs and tandem bikes) and Micro Mini Scooters (for the 2-5 year old set). 

Online registration is available for the regular group classes, and equipment can also be booked online.

• Teaching small boat sailing and windsurfing in our summer youth camps.
• Part-time instructors for the sailing, kayaking, and windsurfing courses.
• Customer Service and Operations staff for the Boathouse and American Bistro.

Volunteer Internships

Know a high school student who needs to get some real world work experience on their resume? Shoreline Lake also offers a volunteer internship program, that provides a great environment for learning team work and leadership, practical application of skills, and developing a solid work history.

Available to youth (generally ages 13-16), these unpaid internships focus on Boathouse and American Bistro operations, including administrative, assisting with Kids' Programs and Watersports Classes, restaurant-based duties (back- and front-of-house positions), and more.

Scheduling Special & Corporate Events

Shoreline Lake is currently allowed to hold family and small gatherings.

Given the openness of the waterfront lawn and outdoor patio deck areas, we can adhere to spacing and social distancing requirements, and are able to serve guests in a modified way that meets stringent public safety protocols. Unfortunately, for now, buffets are not an option, unless our staff serves guests.

With the increase in requests from patrons to have their small gatherings here, we need to ensure compliance. Please contact the Events Team (using the the Events Inquiry form), if you would like to schedule a personal, teambuilding or other special event here at Shoreline Lake.
