We made it! After a looooooong winter (year), easing health restrictions mean the cautious return of concerts and performances. Emerging from extended closure, local music venues and performing arts organizations are going to need our continued support as they get back on their feet. According to the Center for Civil Society Studies, arts nonprofits will take 2.5 years to recover—more than double other nonprofits. What can you do? Last Call! The Winter Buzz Breakfast Series Ends with Local Panel on 4/15

This four-part series concludes with a panel discussion moderated by Darin Waters, Special Assistant to the Chancellor at UNC Asheville and Executive Producer of the Waters & Harvey Show, and Aisha Adams, Founder and Executive Producer of The Asheville View. The presentation will focus on local public art initiatives and explore what Equitable Creative Placemaking could look like for our community. Panelists include:

NC Arts Day Recap

Specials thanks to Senator Mayfield, Rep. Fisher, and Rep. Ager for meeting with Buncombe County arts leaders during NC Arts Day last week! Our legislators were joined by 25+ local arts advocates, and the discussion primarily focused on Restart the Arts Funding and Arts ARE Education Support. Immersive Van Gogh Alive Coming to the Biltmore

On Monday, Biltmore announced Legends of Art & Innovation at Biltmore, a series of immersive, multi-sensory exhibits that will feature art by Van Gogh, Monet, and Da Vinci. Van Gogh Alive will be the first of the three exhibitions, starting in November.
