Hello from the Makerspace!  We have exciting news for you.

  • Grizzly Tools Partnership
  • Whatcom Intergenerational High School Partnership
  • New classes being offered
  • Seeking new volunteers

Grizzly Tools Partnership
We have new tools, donated as part of our new partnership with local Grizzly Tools!  Members, new and existing, now qualify for a one time 10% discount on any tool purchase made from Grizzly tools.  You can also come in and try out some of the new toys, including a brand new 24" drum sander, an 8" jointer, and more!

Whatcom Intergenerational HS
In other partnership news, the Makerspace is also teaming up with the Whatcom Intergenerational High School.  Their new location will also be in Bellis Fair, and we will be collaborating with teaching classes for their teachers and students on all kinds of making things.

New Classes Offered
Speaking of classes, we are offering new classes on our calendar, including the much-anticipated 3D Printing class.  We have a new fleet of four Ender 3D printers ready to teach curious students!

Seeking New Recruits
Lastly, we are searching for new volunteers and teachers to join our community, both to better serve our members and expand our outreach. In particular, we are looking for people to host our shop and improve our social media and marketing presence. Also anyone interested in teaching is welcome to apply!  Teachers also get paid.
Our doors are open to the Mall!
Now Open Thursday to Saturday
The doors are open!  After many months (and some false starts) we have finally opened our doors to the public again.  Visitors are now welcome to come in for tours or ask questions during our regular open hours on Thursday through Saturday.  We will have more days available as we get more volunteers to help cover shifts.

Members can still reserve tool time any day we are open, and classes are still available on their scheduled times to anyone who is interested in taking them.  You can sign up for classes on our website here.
New 3D Printers for our upcoming 3d Printing classes
If you or someone you know would like to volunteer with us, please fill out the Volunteer Application form. Then, come to the Volunteer orientation on the 1st Saturday of the month at noon, email us, or come in during our open hours for a tour.
