BIPOC Body Movement Classes

Movement classes are offered in partnership with the Hamre Center and Department of Multicultural Life. These classes are led by BIPOC instructors and are intended for students who identify as BIPOC ( Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Color). It is meant to be a space for community, mindfulness, and mental well-being.

Asian Amerian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month
|
|
|
|
Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month is celebrated annually in May. The AAPI month celebrates the contributions, histories, traditions, and history of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States.
During this past year and with the effects of Covid, we have seen an emboldened anti- Asian sentiment throughout the country. This serves as a reminder to learn and celebrate the historical contributions of the AAPI community, both this month and throughout the year.
It is not just about celebrating historical figures and contributions but also creating space for culturally relevant conversations and community action. On April 15, we will be holding a webinar and conversation with author and activist Helen Zia on Asian Activism, Xenophobia, and Hate Crimes Against Asian Americans. This is a free virtual event and all are welcome.
