This Sunday! "The Unexpected Destination"

This Sunday is Passion Sunday. We will journey with Jesus to "The Unexpected Destination" in part 6 of our Lenten sermon series through the Gospel of Mark. I would invite you over the weekend to read through the account of Jesus' Passion, beginning with a beautiful account of anointing before His death, on to a garden called Gethsemane, and then to the Cross and his burial in Mark 14-15.

We will worship in person at 8:30 and 10:00 in our Sanctuary and online at 10:00 via Facebook Live and our website. Our service will include a time of "hymn sing," so come ready to call out your favorites!

Ushers and Greeters needed for both the 8:30 and 10:00 services. Contact the church office at office@robertsdaleumc.com or call (251) 947-4602 to join the team, and we'll put you in touch with Linda Fennell, the hospitality team leader.

We Are Hiring a New Children's Director

We shared last week that our wonderful Children's Director, Marie Bartle, will be transitioning out of that role after Easter. We have begun posting the position in various places and would love your help too. Please share this job posting with anyone you think might be interested and qualified:

Donna Head is grateful for the prayers of her church family. Wednesday evening she shared the following praise: "I truly give God all the glory for my numbers today. Can't thank you enough for asking the church to pray for me. Sweet Jesus has blessed me so much with good Christian friends and doctors. My doctor prayed for me before the cath today. All I can say is God is so good all the time."

As we shared in worship Sunday before last, we celebrate with the McKinney family Cullen's first tee ball game! We continue to remember Fletcher, Jessica, Eli, Cullen, Liam, and all the family in our prayers. For updates on their journey, go to the Courage for Cullen Facebook page by CLICKING HERE.

Walter Penry had his coratid artery cleaned Monday morning, and after staying a few nights in the hospital, he is doing better. Please continue to pray for him in his recovery.

Nancy Blackmon will also be having her coratid artery cleaned next Wednesday and asks for prayers.

Our secretary, Sylvia, is asking for prayers for her dad, Bud Byers. Please join us in praying for his strength to return after medical issues.

We are continuing to pray for Asher Coggins who was born at 22 weeks and is currently in the NICU. Baby Asher is the son of Nathan and Madison and the grandson of Jonathan and Amanda, our Preschool Director. They have set up a CaringBridge page to share Asher's story: CLICK HERE.
