SIRO PACENTI

A Careful Modernist,
A Brunello Master

It's understood that Sangiovese can produce substantial tannins alongside substantial acidity.
Thanks to rigid regulations, the 100% based Brunello di Montalcino is forced, and should, see a minimum of 2 years in barrels and 2 more years in the bottle before seeing the light of day in the market.

The Brunello Riserva sees an additional year of bottle cellaring for a minimum of 5 years.

Old school or new school, the use of oak will be there.
Now, the decisions by each Estate on how to select and use such oak can vary.

SIRO PACENTI is known for mastering the art, but also utilizing sophisticated equipment to select the very prime fruit entering such vessels.
What also sets them apart is the ownership of two different vineyard lands with opposite soils and climates, a broader spectrum of notes in which to craft.

Here at Dezilu Wine Co. we find the result is elegant, balanced, linear, focused, nothing "modern' per se, but rooted in harmony with the tradition of the land.

“I am confident to say that Pacenti’s Brunellos are among the few that stand out as world-class.”– James Suckling
