UPDATE: The In-between Spaces: Covid19 and MVUUC

Although there is good news on the horizon, we are not yet able to gather in person. We are in a critical phase of the pandemic where we need to reduce the spread of the virus to combat new variants while vaccine distribution continues.

The UUA has recently published guidance for congregations
that aligns well with our plan to continue gathering virtually
for worship, fellowship, exploration, and all meetings
during this in-between time of this worldwide pandemic.

You can view information on this from the UUA here:
https://www.uua.org/safe/pandemics/gathering-guidance

(You will see that our UUA Congregational Life Contact, Rev Sarah Millspaugh is featured in the video.)

Reopening remains our shared hope as we continue
virtual gathering until further notice.

We look forward to meeting together in person
when we no longer have to ask ourselves
if it is safe to gather together.

We will know when it is time.
Until then, we connect by mail, phone, online technology,
and in our hearts…

tune in next week for our monthly feature article:

MVUUC Adult Religious Exploration Presents:

Race Talk: A Workshop for
Enlightenment and Advocacy

with Rev. Dr. Kirk A Johnson

Saturday April 10, 2021 at 10am Pacific
Online via Zoom

Talking about race is uncomfortable and overwhelming.

Rev Dr Kirk A Johnson will facilitate an online workshop he has designed to help us become empowered and equipped for anti-racism work at every capacity (students, congregants, community leaders, clergy, etc.) and give us greater understanding of race and racism.

This workshop will lead participants through a covenant of conduct accountability to uplift, respect, and hear all participants as we review case studies, engage in group (breakout) discussions, watch videos and documentaries, and read journal articles.

Reserve your spot today
and invite family and friends:
officeadmin@montevistauu.org

Fee: suggested donation $10.00 per person (Pay As You’re Able)
