ABRF Webinar: Why a Career in Cores: Exploring Career Opportunities in Core Facilities

Event Date: Friday, Apr 2nd, 2021

Event Time: 2:00 pm ET

Event Details:

The Association for Biomolecular Resource Facilities (ABRF) is hosting a webinar next week to help students learn about career opportunities in core facilities. Members of the core community will share their journeys to and experiences in shared research resources.

If you're not familiar with core labs, they are the facilities at Universities, research institutes, and companies that provide the infrastructure for modern research.  Core labs enable and facilitate team science. Core labs are also important employers for community college biotech alumni.

Core lab staff work on a variety of research questions. They support science at the furthest emerging edges of technology and expertise.  Core labs are also important resources for encouraging scientific rigor, reproducibility, and sustainability.

Directed at community college, undergraduate, graduate students, high school students, and teachers, this virtual session is free to attend.

Registration is required.
