The harebell
Shaun Booth

There are few things that evoke quite the same sense of joy and excitement as those first pops of colour, peeking through the ground in early spring. Big in Finland
Vau, indeed! Our virtual anthem, Hymn to Freedom, was featured on the current affairs television program 360 Studio in Finland this week. Its host and producer, Tomi Lindblom, reached out after finding our video on YouTube; the end of their weekly program has focussed on culture and musical innovations resulting from quarantine.

Straight from Google Translate, here's an eclectic description of this week's program:

"Today, 360 Studio is discussing the changed working conditions... and the pressures of cultural life in the midst of corona restrictions...In addition, Princess Diana’s letters, the Icelandic volcanic eruption and the world’s largest puzzle will be explored. At the end of the broadcast, a Canadian version of the Metropolitan United Choir’s popular song by Oscar Peterson will be seen in the corona quarantine."

Met's feature can be found at 35:20. Congrats to Benjamin Stein who produced this anthem, and to all who took part! Music unites.
