OCAST’s Oklahoma Applied Research Support (OARS) program is pivoting towards the future

The goal of OCAST’s OARS program is to “better address the needs of advanced technology industries, provide greater support for the creation of partnerships between the private and public sectors and encourage technology transfer,” and the participants in this program have done this well for the last 32 years. However, over the decades, the program’s importance to the continued growth of Oklahoma’s technology-based economy has diminished and now there is a need to pivot more towards greater emphasis on solving the innovation needs of industry in the state.

During the March 23, 2021, meeting the Oklahoma Science Technology Research and Development (OSTRaD) Board of Directors, OCAST’s governing board, took action to make the OARS program more of a favored tool for industry to use when innovation needs arise. Effective immediately:
Original OARS
  • All applicants
  • All topics
  • All technology areas
  • No specific follow-on support
New and Improved OARS
