Connections & Funding

Connections

Participatory Research Methodologies
We are setting up a discussion group to share with experiences and exchange ideas on participatory, creative, visual and action research methodologies. It will be a safe space to learn, reflect and share your work. Everyone is welcome, regardless your experience, whether you want to share your knowledge, or you want to learn more about these methods. To join the first meeting and see what it is about, please send an email to: marina.korzenevica@ouce.ox.ac.uk.

Membrane Technology and Water Reuse Policies
Interested in membrane technology and its role in reusing wastewater in industrial applications? Eager to discuss the policy dimensions of water reuse? Please reach out to Prof. Robert Field in Dept. of Engineering, University of Oxford (robert.field@eng.ox.ac.uk) & Northumbria University. He and Prof. Albert Weale are working on an APEX project about this topic.

Making Connections with OWN
Have a topic or new idea that you want to share with the Network? Want to connect to others who might be interested in brainstorming or researching a particular topic? You can in the next newsletter, just email OWNCoordinator@water.ox.ac.uk with a short paragraph about your interest. This opportunity is also open to external partners who would like to make connections with Oxford researchers.

Funding Opportunities
PKU-IIASA international postdoctoral fellowship programme
Deadline: 30 April 2021
This enables early-career postdoctoral researchers to carry out research in fields of mutual interest at both PKU and IIASA. Areas of research include, but are not limited to advanced methodology; technological, economic, and environmental challenges including pollution and risk analysis; energy, ecology and ecosystems management; and natural resources, including water. Applicants of all nationalities who received their PhD within five years prior to the start of the appointment may apply and must be under the age of 35.

COMING SOON: Long-range research initiative grants
Deadline: Forecast for summer 2021
Amount: 500,000 Euros
The European Chemical Industry Council, under its Long-range research initiative, invites applications for its grants. These support research addressing priority issues of the chemical industry regarding the health and environmental impact of chemicals
