Progress Continues!
Here is a short list of what has been accomplished on site to date:
- All underground utilities - water, sewer, electric - have been installed.
- The entire building pad - concrete, rebar, and rock - has been completed.
Coming up next:
- Delivery and erection of steel skeleton.
- Completion of mock up and approval of exterior design elements - brick, cast stone, window and door frames - by City of Charleston and Daniel Island.
On March 23, 29 truckloads of concrete were poured between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. to complete the church's main body building pad. Workers then spent the daylight hours curing and finishing the concrete surfaces.
