As the semester keeps moving on, let us stop and reflect on the importance of new beginnings and faithful endings. You may have heard this verse from John’s Revelation (22:12,13) quoted in many places:
“Behold, I am coming soon, and My reward is with Me, to give to each one according to what they have done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”
I would like to share two testimonies with you of God’s faithfulness in the beginnings and endings of life:
Alyssa Vandiver (‘22) and Beth (Boxley) Penick (‘79).
For some, like Alyssa, God is moving in a new way in life, opening up a new community of people who will support her as we all keep walking with God. She joins the MCF family in her third year at Murray State … better late than never for a new beginning.
For others, like Beth, even though her life has ended way too soon, God was fully faithful to the end.
Let us take encouragement and hope from these two women of faith.
And remember, God’s compassion, grace, patience, loyal love and faithfulness finds us at the right time and never leaves us at any time.
