<<First Name>>, guns don’t belong in schools.

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds is considering a bill that would repeal background checks on private handgun sales and could allow loaded firearms at school activities and events.

This week, just as a mass shooting that took the lives of ten individuals in a Colorado grocery store was unfolding, the Iowa Senate voted on a bill (HF756) that would dismantle Iowa’s popular and effective handgun permitting system and make background checks optional on private handgun sales.

The bill is supported by:

  • An out-of-state gun rights group currently under investigation for fraud

  • A right-wing extremist group accused of scamming its supporters

  • An anti-immigrant hate group founded by a man serving time for child molestation

PLEASE Call Kim Reynolds now and ask her to VETO this bill. 515-281-5211

Iowa deserves good gun laws - not copy-paste laws written by lobbying groups and supported by hate organizations.

Our state is safe because of our permit system. Eliminating it would be a deadly mistake.

Call Kim Reynolds now and ask her to VETO this bill. 515-281-5211

Thank you for continuing to support strong gun laws, responsible gun ownership and common sense public safety laws. Please call our governor today! 515-281-5211
