'My Father's house shall be a house of prayer'.

You are invited to write the name of the person or situation you want prayer for on a slip of paper and place this in a bowl by the entrance as you enter the church.  If you are not attending church, please email the name or situation to the vicar before Sunday and he will add the name or situation to the bowl of prayers.

At our Sunday service during the intercessions, we will offer them in prayer, without reading them out loud.
In this way we can still share (privately) our prayers and concerns.

Please bring your own slips of paper with you, and just place in the bowl as you enter the church.

Easter Lilies

If you would like to remember somebody this Easter with an Easter Lily, their name can be placed in the bowl in front of the display in the church. If you are unable to attend church please get in touch with Sally Gilbert ( 266552) who will put their name in for you.  Donations towards the cost of Lilies and Easter flowers please give to Sally, or donations can be put in an envelope marked 'Easter Flowers' and put into the collecting bowl at church.  You can also use the donate button online, but please tell Sally about your donation so it is identified.

Tomato Plants

We will again this year be selling tomato plants in aid of The Children’s Society.  Moneymaker (large) and Gardeners’ Delight (small) - £1 each. As things continue to be difficult due to Covid restrictions a home drop off service is again being offered.  Delivery is expected at the end of April/beginning of May. Please let Val Percival know if you would like any:- Tel/Text: 01234824240/07774701818, email: valandian58@btinternet.com.

Words from the Creed

As we are encouraged to look at the Creed during Lent, everybody is invited to share which words are most important to them.  Just email your thoughts to the ministry team.

I believe in the Holy Spirit

God the Father is the creator of all that is been and unseen.
Jesus is the son of God, the messiah and our saviour.
The Holy Spirit is God's presence in the world and in the life of every Christian.  we are made to know God and to love God through His son and to work out our faith in the power of the Holy Spirit.
As we approach Easter, this phrase reminds us to look up and towards Pentecost and the coming of the Holy Spirit to the disciples. Yet we do not need to wait, as children of God we are temples of the Holy Spirit already.
Let us listen to the Holy Spirits prompting in our lives and in the life of the church. Amen.

Dwell Well Bedford

Our thanks to those who helped put together our first big batch of tenancy packs for distribution this week.  We have already sent 6 packs already and have now boxed up the next lot of donations.

Thanks to those who have donated, bedding, cutlery, crockery and other items so far.  A full list of items wanted will be shared as we need them.

Keep up the good work.

Praying for Messy Church.

please pray for our Messy Church families over Easter as we send them a bag of Easter goodies and activities including a video showing how to make an Easter garden.

If you are making an Easter garden at home, why not share it with others by sending us a picture.

Chrism Eucharist

The Chrism Eucharist is being streamed online from St Albans Cathedral, where Rural Deans will be present with me for the blessing of oils to take back to their Deaneries. I am sorry we will not be physically together for a second year running but we will be united in the Spirit as together we renew our vows for our common task of ministry. Offers of help sought

As we start to worship in church again, there is a great opportunity to try out new roles within the church.  Some of these may be temporary which people are still shielding, some could be permanent as people have moved to new jobs and roles.

We are looking for somebody or bodies to head up our support for Christian Aid.  To keep the church informed of its activities and help organise fundraising events for the church and community.

We are looking for somebody to head up a new team of servers for our Sunday worship.

We are looking for somebody to head up the organisation of lifts to assist members of the congregation get to church, now that we can meet again.

We are looking for people to help with the sound and vision system in the church, full training will be given.

These are just a few of the roles that will help us grow as a church.  please have a word with a churchwarden or the vicar if you could help.  Please pray if God may be calling you to one of these  roles.
