From the Director

Greetings All! While we cannot yet safely gather for a large spring fundraiser, there are still opportunities to participate in activities and events programmed this season.

  • Our ”Spring for the Arts” fundraiser will be reimagined as “Fall for the Arts” and will include several “fun-raising” activities, including a bonfire and auction. Intrigued? Want to help plan? Our first planning meeting is scheduled for April 8 at 4:30pm via Zoom, join in!

  • The K-12 Student Exhibition 2021 is on display in the Community Gallery, 701 Main Street, Suite 402, March 30-April 16. It features student work from the homeschool community, Evergreen Community School, Pleasant Valley, East Stroudsburg, Pocono Mountain, and Notre Dame school districts. Plan to visit the gallery during office hours (Tue.-Fri., 10am-4pm or by appointment), during First Saturday Art Walks from 6-8pm on April 3, or view the virtual gallery online.

  • Downtown Stroudsburg’s First Saturday Art Walks return on Sat., April 3. The Community Gallery will be open every first Saturday between 6-8pm, so stop by when you’re out and about.

  • The Earth Speaks VII Exhibition will be up next on display in the Community Gallery, April 19-May 8. Join in via Zoom to attend our specially-programmed Virtual Conference, “Restore Our Earth,” April 20-23, and be sure to view the Earth Speaks virtual gallery on our website soon.

  • The prospectus and application are online for the Annual Members’ Exhibition 2021 coming in May.

  • In past years, PoconoArts’ members have been selected to appear in Pennsylvania’s Art of the State. The call for artists has been announced!
