2020 was a year of contrasts and new experiences. The Boys & Girls Club of Bluffton was blessed to have friends like you to help us to fulfill our mission, even during a pandemic. We want to share a few highlights from 2020 in this newsletter. We hope to share our good news more frequently in 2021.

PROGRAMS UPDATE

The Virtual Hub has served 102 children since September. Boys & Girls Club staff have increased our service hours by 233% to provide a full, structured school setting for online education. And, the After School Program re-opened to 45 students in March. Finally, the halls are full of happy, engaged children again! Summer camp starts June 28-- and there is already a waiting list. The Club will gradually add capacity as we are able, based on pandemic safety and staff availability.

Kristen McGuire joined our staff as the Director of Resource Development in March 2021. She has worked with children with special needs, and has been a freelance writer and editor for decades. Job Fair Pre-Registration

Birdies for Charity: This program ends April 18, 2021, and is like a walk-a-thon - you can pledge to donate to your favorite charity (Boys & Girls Club of Bluffton!) a certain amount per birdie earned by the pros in the 53rd annual RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing! And the Heritage Classic Foundation adds on 10%! (For perspective, in 2019, there were 1,354 birdies.) Best of all - the Heritage Classic Foundation adds 10% to your donation to support our programs!
