Resilience, reinvention, and personal growth

Edition #7
Hi <<First Name>>,

For as much as we glorify perseverance and hard work, aren't there times when it makes more sense to bail and try something new?

In this week's blog post, I write about three reasons to change things up.

I also share big changes coming to the podcast and an opportunity to hear me on the other side of the mic.

Enjoy!

Best,
Chris

Know when to switch it up

It’s important to put in the hard work, rise and grind, blah blah blah. We hear this all the time, and I think it's generally good advice.

But other times - and maybe more often than we realize - the right thing to do is to switch it up.

So... how do you know when it's time to go back to the drawing board?

Big changes coming

I started the 100 Inspiring Voices podcast almost a year ago and it's been an amazing experience.

That said, I feel inspired to make some big changes and create an even more compelling experience (see Reasons #1, #2, and #3 in the article above 😉).

Here's what you can look out for in the coming months:
  1. Shorter episodes
  2. Seasons organized by theme, e.g. resilience, courage, relationships
  3. More commentary, voice overs, and connection between episodes

The other side of the mic

Also in the spirit of switching things up, I was on the receiving end of a podcast interview this week.

Tara O'Brien and Ron Duren, Jr. were kind enough to let me join the Forging Mettle podcast to talk about my experiences overcoming adversity and helping others build resilience.

I love what they're doing on the show and hope you have a chance to check it out!

Two parting thoughts

"Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. To keep our faces toward change and behave like free spirits in the presence of fate is strength undefeatable."
- Helen Keller

"The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance."
- Alan Watts
