Prevention of Malnutrition in Early Childhood:
The Role of SQ-LNS

Wednesday, 14 April 2021, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. (EDT)

Dear colleagues,

I am pleased to launch the Nutrition Master Class series, where leading experts will share the latest evidence and advancements in nutrition. With the master class series, we are launching an exciting opportunity to build excellence of UNICEF's staff on the latest developments in maternal and child nutrition as we roll-out the UNICEF Nutrition Strategy 2020-2030.

Join us for the first Nutrition Master Class with Dr. Kay Dewey, distinguished professor emerita at the Department of Nutrition, University of California at Davis. Dr. Dewey will share new evidence on the role of small-quantity lipid-based nutrient supplements (SQ-LNS) in home-based fortification, and their impact on child growth, development, and anemia. Before the Nutrition Master Class, we recommend you read the overview paper available here.
