Today, you can read about our virtual AGM, which we held successfully this week (hooray!), and even watch it all again if you like!
You can also register your interest to play in one of the 5 NAPGC inter club competitions the club supports. You should do this right now (hurry!), as the booking window closes on Tuesday 30th.
And until Wednesday 31st (hurry!), you can still book your place in this year's knockout competitions.
Please find more information on these three topics in the following paragraphs!
And further below, there is a collection of pictures taken on the course this morning, to get you in the right mood for the restart!
Stay safe, and I very much hope to see you soon!

AGM Recap
Owing to the circumstances, we were forced to hold our AGM in a virtual manner. This made for a very much different experience. We used a free 7 day trial of the platform GoToWebinar, and given that we didn't pay anything I would say it was good enough, even so there were a few technical glitches.
Anyway, we were able to go through the presentations, perform the regular votes, and answer additional questions. The whole session was recorded, and if you would like to see it, use this link.
Most importantly, the following decisions were taken:
Approval of last years AGM minutes.
Approval of the budget for 2021/22, including membership fees £35 for existing members (August - March) and £30/£20 for new members (April/August - March)
Approval of the proposed new committee:
Congratulations to all committee members for a successful and almost unanimous vote!

This series of inter club competitions is run every year, and for the third year running our club wants to participate.
All these competitions are team events, in various formats and with certain handicap requirements. The teams don't have to be fixed. One or all of the team members can be replaced by another qualifying club member, which means there is no hard commitment to play on determined dates no matter what.

You will find all these competitions on Masterscoreboard.

Knockout Competitions
Booking is open on Masterscoreboard for all our formats.
Make sure to book before the end of March, as the draw will be done on April 1.
If you would like to play in the pairs competitions, but don't have a partner, please let me know, and I will add you to the list. Singles will be drawn into as many pairs as we can form.
As these are board competitions, the requirement is to have played 6 qualifiers with SBGC in the last 24 (!) months.
The draw will be published on April 1 with the first round starting immediately after!
