The sacramental language used in this service represents the outward and visible sign which signifies the inward and spiritual grace being prayed to bring restoration to wholeness. This means a release, a forgiveness, and a renewed strength, as one in the body of Christ. We are renewed in our baptismal identity in the death and resurrection of Christ, with the assurance of eternal life in Christ. This is what we mean as Christians when we talk about healing.
Maundy Thursday, April 1/7:00pm
Maundy Thursday Service. Click here for the service and here for the bulletin. Maundy Thursday begins the Great Three Days (The Triduum) as we remember the Last Supper, the agony in the garden of Gethsemane and Jesus’ journey to the cross and crucifixion. Come, let Jesus wash your feet or hands.
Stripping of the Altar and Keeping the Watch
This year we cannot keep watch in the church. We can, however, keep watch in our homes and in our hearts.
