🎉 Welcome to the sixth edition of The QD Monthly!

Welcome back to The QD Monthly, QTBIPOC Design's digital publication that aims to provide you with updates on our community along with some tools, resources, inspiration, and more to take with you wherever you are in your design journey. 😁

Thank you to everyone for sharing your thoughts and ideas in our previous event and community surveys! The feedback so far has been really helpful in allowing us to plan even more meaningful and intentional events and opportunities for you all. If you have any other thoughts, feedback, or ideas, feel free to engage with us at any of our events or reach out on our community Slack channel.

Just to keep you all in the loop — we've been working behind the scenes to put together some amazing opportunities for the organization, including some new and exciting collaborations and partnerships. This month, Steven (you know him as our Founder, President, and resident Aries 🐏♈😎) will be speaking and representing the organization at the University of Washington, Seattle and the upcoming Design Thinking Virtual Experience conference, where he'll be spreading the word of QTBIPOC Design, equity in design, and much, much more.

As we continue to grow the community and expand our network of resources, we're still very much invested in making sure that we continue to create safe, supportive, and meaningful spaces for all of you here already. As always, thanks so much for being a part of this group, and hope you enjoy the rest of this newsletter! 💖✨🌠

In this issue, we...
  • Come to you with info on our 🆕upcoming events, 🆕UX course, and other community happenings.

But before we do, we wanted to give you some more information about the course. Over the course of 12 weeks we’ll cover the most important topics we’ve learned over our decades of experience. How many people will be in the first cohort?
The first cohort will be small, we are not sure how many people will be in just yet, but we are looking to keep it under 10.
When will I know if I am in the first cohort? We will send out the first round of invites on April 16th. If you are not selected by that date, don’t fret there will be more opportunities in the future!
